It's going to be a tough choice between soaking up suds at nearby Spritzenhaus and Brooklyn Brewery and sweating it out at the new Brooklyn Athletic Club, but with a four-floor training facility boasting 17,000 square feet, a floor dedicated to triathlon training, a roof deck, and daycare services, it looks like the gym might win out.
Bedford and Bowery reports that owner Larry Betz is looking to create an environment that's "an alternative to more rigid programs like CrossFit or boot camps and cater to gym-goers who can't regularly afford personal training sessions." This includes ten sessions of group training for just $185—a steal.
