For its spring campaign, Barneys New York cast seventeen transgender men and women to star in the ads, all of whom were shot by photographer Bruce Weber.
With help from the National Center for Transgender Equality and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center, the models were brought in from all over the world—from Milwaukee to Amsterdam. On February 11th, the Madison Avenue flagship will donate 10% of all sales to the abovementioned organizations.
The campaign will also include videos, interviews, and pretty fancy prints. Head to our sister site for more info on what the entire thing will entail, as well as past examples of transgender models used in fashion campaigns.
