Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
While Google Glass still isn't widely available to the public, New Yorkers can test out the wearable computer this week at Lincoln Center. In the David Rubenstein Atrium, visitors can view artist David Datuna's "Viewpoint of Billions," which looks like a giant American flag, through Google Glass to unlock a story behind the work.
The device will then archive the viewer's experience through a dialogue that will be posted on Datuna's site for the world to see. And don't worry if you don't know how to work Google Glass—staff will be on site to assist you. The exhibit runs through Wednesday and is open until 10pm each day.
