Miansai, the Miami-based handmade accessories brand known for its hook and anchor bracelets, has opened its first retail flagship shop in Soho. Sandwiched between Bonobos and Saturdays Surf, the 950 square-foot space was conceptualized and designed by the brands Founder and Creative Director, Michael Saiger.
Outside the shop hangs a 36" steel hook that resembles the hook used on some of Miansai's bracelets and leather goods. The front of the shop houses a tea bar with twenty exclusive loose teas blends and four flavors of Kombucha on tap, from the Portland-based Tea Chi Té. Beyond the tea, you'll find the accessories showcased in a minimalistic space that includes Italian ceramic tile, custom wrought iron windows, and local harvested walnut.
As for the jewelry, there are leather wrap bracelets, metals cuffs, sterling silver necklaces, and rose gold rings, among other things. Watches come in single wrap or double wrap straps that can be interchanged to fit your outfit. In the recently launched leather goods category, you can find belts, camera straps, iPad sleeves, iPhone cases, wallets, and leather journals that close with one of the brands rope bracelets.
If you're style is more custom, there's a build-your-own bracelet station that allows you to select the materials that go into your Hook, Anchor, or Brummel style bracelet. Besides the accessories, you can also find the brands home goods, which include scented candles and soaps, Shwood sunglasses, and pocket knives from Opinel.
