Stephanie March, aka Alexandra Cabot, aka everyone's favorite Assistant District Attorney* on Law & Order: SVU, is opening a makeup salon on Thompson Street. March, along with the show's makeup artist Rebecca Perkins, have teamed up on Rouge New York: an airy space to get primped in the same vein as New York City's ever-expanding blowout bar scene.
March explains to WWD: "We saw a real gap in the market. So we decided to be our own customers. Great makeup doesn't have to be—and shouldn't be—a luxury. Makeup artists should be accessible to all women. Gorgeous makeup isn't easy to do on your own for most people." She prefaces that the salon is a way to avoid "sitting out on the floor of a department or specialty store" for an application.
Rouge offers touch-ups for $25, and everything from basic make-up application for $50 to dramatic looks for $60 and $75. Tehy also do waxing, brow maintenance, and tattoo coverups. All of the products from the Rouge line are available for purchase at the salon, but clients are also encouraged to bring in their own favorites.
