New York skincare brand Kiehl's will open at 678 Ninth Avenue in Hell's Kitchen next month, debuting their first full service barber shop. The two-chair salon-in-shop will offer shaving and grooming for guys within the store. The company expanded into spa and grooming services two years ago with the opening of Spa 1851 on the Upper East Side.
The forthcoming shop isn't just a dudely destination: the brand is debuting a new skincare diagnostic tool at the shop, which assesses the skin's condition on eight factors, then doles out a regimen of Kiehl's product suggestions to correct said condition. Additionally, the new store will launch two new rewards programs. The first is a point-based system that gives customers special invites and early product access. The second is a recycling program where empty Kiehl's jars, bottles, and tubes returned to the store will be exchanged for complimentary products.
