Soho staple Kirna Zabete is officially open at 477 Broome Street after 14 years at 96 Greene, where Rebecca Minkoff will be establishing a permanent store. The move signals ambitious plans for the boutique owned by friends Beth Buccini and Sarah Easley, as they now have 10,000 square feet to display the collections offered for sale—more than double the size of their former space. More space means there's a lot more to shop.
"We'll buy deeper into our current designers and we're also excited to be adding new talent to the mix," said Buccini. As we previously reported, that new talent includes Christian Dior, Nina Ricci, and Mary Katrantzou, along with current offerings like Jason Wu, Charlotte Olympia, and Thakoon. The extra square footage also allows for an expanded footwear section, a comfy lounge area by the fitting rooms, and an 18-foot cash wrap. Expect funky decorations, including lots of neon signage.—Laura Gurfein
