After a decade on Mott Street, Indie 38 member Poppy will close its Nolita location. Last autumn, store owner Leslie Mckeown opened a second location in Park Slope where she lives. Ready for a change after ten years, she's decided to leave Nolita and focus solely on the Park Slope location (this is probably a great move for her commute, too).
At the bottom of an e-mail sent thanking the neighborhood and loyal customers, there were two very important words: moving sale. All merchandise—think pretty patterned dresses and tops—is 50% to 80% off. They're also selling the store's fixtures, mirrors, and art. The store will close for good on June 30th.
