In addition to selling at Walgreens, Walmart and Target, e.l.f. Makeup & Cosmetics now has its very own selling space on Broadway and Astor Place. The shop opened about a week ago, with an official grand opening planned for May 22nd and a big ol' write up in WWD this morning.
The article explains that business has been booming, and that shouldn't be too hard to figure out why: a lot of the cosmetics retail for just a $1, with the option to "trade up" to the Studio Collection ($3 to $6) and the Minerals line ($8). WWD adds that complimentary makeup lessons by professional artists are offered, as well as complimentary makeovers—something you definitely won't find on the e.l.f. shelves at Target.
