Yesterday evening, we checked out the Surface to Air sample sale preview at 260 Fifth Avenue to see what sorts of deals the Parisian brand has in store. The first thing we noticed? The incredibly fashionable crowd the sale drew in. Not to worry, though—the merchandise is equally chic.
So let's get down to the nitty-gritty. If you're a female, you might be alarmed at the massive amounts of menswear that you'll come across when you first walk in. It may even seem like the menswear overpowers the womenswear, but that's simply not the case. The 260 staff just switched the floor around, placing men's clothing to the right and women's to the left.
A full price list is in the gallery above, but here are some of the key points. For men, tees and polos are $30, shirts and denim are $60, knitwear is $90, parkas and jackets are $180, and leather jackets are $300.
For women, tees are also $30, skirts and denim are $60, casual dresses are $70, dressy tops are $80, and other dresses are $90. Blazers are priced at $120, jackets are $180, coats are $200, and leathers are $250. The most expensive items are the furs, which are marked at $700.
Be sure to make your way over to the women's accessories table that's stocked with some really nice leather bags. (Be prepared to shell out $170 if you want to make one of those buttery beings your very own.) On this table, you'll also find scarves for $50, and hats and belts for $30. The pricing for the men's accessories is the same.
And for all you Kid Cudi fans out there, get there early if you plan on grabbing a Surface to Air x Kid Cudi leather bomber. While there was a whole bunch of these on the men's racks, we didn't spot quite as many for the ladies. At $250 for chicks and $300 for dudes, you and your significant other can stroll down the street being all matchy-matchy.
Other important highlights: There is a really even mix of spring and fall merchandise, so you can basically stock up on chunky sweaters and mohair coats for next fall while also snagging a slinky dress and denim jacket for spring. We also heard there's extra stock on pretty much everything, especially the shoes.
Did we say shoes? The shoe selection is pretty darn huge. Keep in mind that most shoes will run you $150, save for the lower sandals that cost $120, or sneakers for 50 bucks.
