EVERYWHERE—Up for debate is whether or not this Vogue spread, intended to "celebrate Hurricane Sandy's first responders," is appropriate or not. On one hand, the magazine is recognizing the National Guard, the neonatal intensive care-unit at Bellevue, and Con Ed employees for their commendable service. On the other, they're juxtaposing them against Karlie Kloss in a very expensive designer gown. [Fashionista]
MIDTOWN WEST—Since opening on Sunday, the discounts at the Calvin Klein sample sale have jumped from 75% off to 80% off to a now 90% off. Sample Sally writes: "When we stopped in first thing this morning, the rolling racks were still filled with merchandise and there was a good selection of sweaters on the tables. We now hear that the space is mobbed and there's a line to get in." The sale ends tonight a 7pm, and continues tomorrow for the final day from 9am to 5pm. [Sample Sally]
