As more and more stores begin to reopen, the number of retail opportunities to collect funds for hurricane relief continues to grow. On Sunday, the Barneys flagship on Madison Avenue will donate 10% of all proceeds to the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort. And even if the store isn't inundated with shoppers, a good amount of money will still be sent: the department store has already pledged a minimum donation of $50,000.
If you can't make it uptown, you can still lend a hand through Gilt City. From now through Sunday, 30% of the profits from all NYC Sales will also benefit the Red Cross. Deals include discounts at YogaWorks, jewelry making classes at Lost Wax Studio, and a month of unlimited manicures at Serenity Spa.
