The Nolita boutique Poppy has resided on Mott Street since 2003, and store owner Leslie Mckeown has just picked a second location. Here's Park Slope reports that the shop is headed to 217 Fifth Avenue in, as you may have guessed, Park Slope.
A resident of the neighborhood herself, Leslie explained that she signed the lease on August 1st, after hearing from several of the local moms that she should bring a Poppy outpost to area. She says the store's currently in a "demolished shell" sort of state, but that they're shooting for an opening date of October 1st.
