For those with deep pockets and/or a penchant for townhouses-turned-boutiques, today is your day: The Upper East Side's Fivestory has finally opened. For the past month or so, the store has been compared to everything from Colette in Paris, 10 Corso Como in Milan, and Browns in London, so naturally, expect to find brands like Balmain, Hussein Chalayan, Peter Pilotto, Thakoon, and more inside.
Despite all that hype, the store is still putting up a little bit of a cloak and dagger routine. You won't be able to find out exactly what they sell via their website yet, because the landing page is still just the opening announcement. You could try to garner that information from their Tumblr, but that seems to be dedicated to shots of models, magazine editorials, and eternal It girls Kirsten Dunst and Winona Rider. However, a Google search will absolutely tell you what celebrities were at the launch. Spoiler alert: There were a lot.
