If you're looking for a new place to shop uptown and you've got the bucks to back that desire up, then get ready for Fivestory, a boutique from former gallerist Claire Distenfeld on East 69th Street. Back in November, the shop partly opened for a preview store, which has since closed. Now, The Boutique 411 reports that on April 19th, the store will reopen and celebrate its official launch. If you didn't make it to the preview, then prepare yourself for the ultimate Upper East Side shopping experience: Fivestory is situated inside several levels of a townhouse, complete with a fancy stoop and all.
Inside, the store will carry brands like Victoria Beckham, Cushnie et Ochs, and Chrissie Morris. Vogue adds that the shop will also carry "unexpected names" like the Parisian skate company Hype Means Nothing. Speaking of hype, you can register on their website for early access, and peek at their Tumblr while you wait.
