Ferragamo's Fifth Avenue flagship has been closed for renovations since January, with shoppers funneled to a temporary space on E. 57th Street. This April 6th, though, the brand's biggest worldwide location will re-open with a fresh, glossy new look. Highlights include a dramatic staircase connecting womenswear on the ground floor with menswear on the second floor; flat screen TVs screening Ferragamo's Milan runway shows; updated fitting rooms; and a salon for the brand's recently-launched fine jewelry collection.
The outside of the building will get an update too, with Grigio Oriente limestone around the base and four new back-lit logos. With that much signage out front, soon even the most lost and befuddled tourists on 52nd and Fifth will know exactly where to find Italian luxury goods.
