The Brooks Brothers store on the Upper West Side has officially opened its doors, which means that the brand now has eight locations throughout Manhattan. The new spot, situated on the corner of Broadway and 87th Street, is home to men's and women's clothing, as well as accessories and the Fleece line designed by Nikki Kule.
Inside, the store's setup is said to be similar to the location at 1180 Madison Avenue, which opened up a year ago in March of 2011. In so many words, Chairman and CEO Claudio Del Vecchio explains that rather than make all of the Brooks Brothers fans on the Upper West schlep it down and across town, the company decided to just bring one to them: "For generations our flagship store at Madison Avenue and 44th Street has been a destination for residents of the Upper West Side. Our new store brings Brooks Brothers a little closer to home."
