Everyone's favorite plastic shoe brand Melissa will be opening its first US store on February 8th, at 102 Greene Street in Soho. WWD reports that the store will be set up similarly to Melissa's São Paolo flagship in Brazil, describing it as a "hypermodern gallery." To celebrate the store's opening, Brazilian artist Eli Sudbrack is creating an installation, and if his name sounds familiar, it's because he designed another massive installation not too long ago—the Gaga Workshop at Barneys.
The new Melissa store couldn't have better timing if it tried: Back in May, it was announced that Jason Wu would be doing a collaboration with the brand for spring. And we've already checked—the plastic flats and heels Wu has designed for Melissa do indeed match perfectly with his Target collab.
