According to Mizhattan, New Jersey police officers were called to break up an unruly crowd outside the Salvatore Ferragamo sample sale in Secaucus, New Jersey earlier today. It sounds like tempers escalated as a result of a chaotic line situation. Writes one of our readers,"I arrived at 9 and the line wasn't even a line. More like a mass of people hanging around." We're hearing that the police showed up and arrested several shoppers, although the Secaucus police department wouldn't confirm the reports.
The sale ended up closing after just an hour and fifteen minutes due to fire code violations, and staffers say it won't be reopening any time soon. Head to Mizhattan's comments section for some very vivid descriptions of the melee. Writes one reader, "My friend Elizabeth got into a fist fight with a cop and they dragged her into jail!"
