Earlier today, we ranked the ten best eats of Fashion's Night Out. Before that, we listed the best new stores, best live shows, and the top unexpected celebrities. There are barely two days left until the city-wide shopping party, but we've still got a few lists left in our annual guide. Up now: The Top Ten Beauty Events.
If the theme of FNO's food events is ice cream trucks, then the theme of its beauty events is manicures. This Thursday night will include four major nail art events, including Chanel's annual limited-edition nail polish party. But while nails are a major trend, lashes will be giving them a run for their money. Chanel's biggest rival this time around: The Make-Up Forever lash bar at Christian Louboutin.
10. Diane Von Furstenberg henna tattoo at Bloomingdale's
Declare your love for DVF semi-permanently with body art inspired by her Indian Temple home collection. This may be the only time you'll ever be able to say you got a tattoo in the Domestics section of a midtown department store. 1000 Third Avenue, seventh floor, 6:30pm.
9. Free mini red carpet makeovers at Inglot
An hour before FNO officially begins, makeup artists from the Polish cosmetics company will start working their magic on the faces of shoppers. Stop by the Times Square or Chelsea Market locations to get glammed up gratis. If you buy anything, they'll throw in a free treat. 1592 Broadway and 75 Ninth Avenue, 5pm.
8. Great Lash Mascara party at Gansevoort Plaza
To celebrate the 40th birthday of Great Lash, Maybelline is giving away tube upon tube of mascara signed by the company's spokesmodels. They'll also have Great Last t-shirts designed by Pat Field for the first 300 guests. And like Inglot, they're offering on-the-spot makeovers. Little West 12th Street at 9th Avenue, 6pm.
7. TracyLee manicures at Ash
The footwear brand has teamed up with magazine The Dirty Durty Diary for a party called "Where the Wild Things Are." Among the wild things: Nail specialist TracyLee, who will be offering manicures. 44 Mercer Street, 6pm.
6. Oscar de la Renta for Le Métier de Beauté at Bergdorf Goodman
Another early FNO event: Meet Mr. de la Renta himself at Bergdorf. He'll be signing his limited-edition "Face of Fashion" fall kaleidoscope palette by Le Métier de Beauté, but only until 6:30. After that, he's expected at his Madison Avenue boutique for an evening of mariachi music. 745 Fifth Avenue, 6pm.
5. Nail Stylist Patricia Yankee at Ricky's
You know how Katy Perry has bonkers nails? Patricia Yankee is partly to blame. Spend $40 or more at Ricky's on FNO, and you could get a free specialty manicure from Yankee—unless you'd prefer a $25 deep-conditioning blow-out; your call. Either way, you'll also get a full face makeover. 87th and Broadway, 6pm.
4. Revlon at the Mondrian Soho
Technically, this is a private party, but if you act fast you can probably still buy tickets. What you'll find inside: Revlon's Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman offering beauty consultations, celebrity manicurist Jin Soon offering manicures, and the chance to win tickets to Rag & Bone's Fashion Week show. (Westman is married to Rag & Bone's David Neville.) Oh, and ticket proceeds go to charity. 9 Crosby Street, 5:30pm.
3. Essie manicures at Teen Vogue's block party
The nail polish line plans to offer free manicures to every single person to attend the annual block party. We have no idea how this will work logistically, but it does sound pretty amazing. Look out for Essie's own celebrity manicurist Elle Gerstein, who helped create nail art for the occasion with Teen Vogue beauty editor Eva Chen. Bleecker Street & West 11th Street, 6pm.
2. Make Up For Ever lash bar at Christian Louboutin
Eyelashes are really just the beginning at Louboutin. In addition to a lash bar stocked with custom Loub creations for Make Up For Ever, the store will also offer hair styling from Frederic Fekkai. And then there are the two limited-edition items: The Dafodile Brodee platform pump and the Sweety Charity Brodee crossbody bag. 59 Horatio Street, 6pm.
1. Chanel mini manicures
This time around, Chanel's annual Fashion's Night Out collection is inspired by denim. Called Les Jeans de Chanel, it includes three colors in various shades of blue. The full bottle will cost you, but the manicure is free—which explains why every year, this event is one of the most popular. 15 East 57th Street, 139 Spring Street, and 737 Madison Avenue, 6pm.
