Menswear retailer Jay Kos, who started out downtown and then moved to Park Avenue, returns to his roots this Friday with the grand opening of a new location at 293 Mott Street. That address might sound like deepest Nolita, but it's actually a bit less quiet and leafy: The storefront occupies the corner of Mott and Houston, just down the busy street from Rag & Bone. The space, which is now decorated with a green neon sign and several dapper mannequins, used to be a restaurant, and Kos told WWD in March that he plans to serve food to customers.
