We've been hearing rumors about Upper East Side treats emporium Dylan's Candy Bar crossing the park since last fall, when Grub Street reported that proprietor Dylan Lauren was working out a deal for two side-by-side storefronts on Amsterdam Avenue. Now, though, the Post says that the early gossip had the scope all wrong. Lauren isn't signing on for two storefronts—she's claiming five of them, which adds up to about 100 feet of frontage along Amsterdam between W. 78th and W. 79th Streets. If this is true, Dylan's Candy Bar West will be even bigger than Dylan's Candy Bar East, which currently claims to be the world's largest candy store.
