Barneys isn't the only big department store celebrating Alexander McQueen this month. Saks put together some rather subdued windows (weirdly, they're already down), but more importantly, Bergdorf has filled its vitrines with window art so glorious that Racked friend Julia Chesky of Modelizing compares it to the annual holiday display.
Bergdorf put serious time and effort into creating their windows, researching all 12 years of McQueen's collections and then selecting pieces from the McQueen archives in London. On the Bergdorf blog, the store's window genius David Hoey explains that he organized each window around a theme, among them "a cabinet of British curiosities, a mysterious forest, and a video installation showing clips from a decade’s worth of McQueen runway shows." Head to the blog for more details and check out our slideshow above. Still not enough McQueen for you? Modelizing and Mizhattan both have even more images.
