MIDTOWN EAST—Leifsdottir is celebrating the launch of their shoe collection with three days of festivities at Bloomingdale's. Tomorrow and Wednesday, artist Merijn Hos will be putting up an installation in the windows on the Third Avenue end of the store. Then, on Thursday from 5pm to 7pm, Bloomie's will host a shopping party with Leifsdottir designer Johanna Uurasjarvi. Buy a pair of shoes, and you'll get a free tote customized by Hos, whose work you can see here. [Racked Inbox]
SOHO—Taking pity on fans with abundant good taste but less than abundant funding, Creatures of Comfort is holding its first sale since the New York boutique opened last fall. The sale runs from Friday, March 11 through Sunday, March 13 at the Puffin Room at 435 Broome Street between Crosby and Broadway. Expect up to 90% off labels like Rachel Comey, Acne, Wren, and Dieppa Restrepo—and expect crazy crowds. [Racked Inbox]
