It's that time of the year again?when stores around the city prep for Halloween by transitioning their windows from what's most attractive to what's scariest. All this week we'll be peeking at ghoulish displays of boutiques of Bleecker Street. First up, the newest kid on the block: BookMarc.
It's business as usual at BookMarc, or that's what they'd have you believe. Marc Jacobs' first bookstore made it through Fashion Week and it seems to be taking it easy during this, its first Halloween. But then you take a closer look at those jars on the shelves...
What's that in the jar nearby the Juergen Teller monographs? Oh, it's just a jar of severed fingers. Perhaps remnants of those who tried to shoplift from the old Marc by Marc Jacobs Accessories store? We kid! Yet another container holds a heart. Up close they look quite gruesome, so cheers to the staff for not just throwing some fake cobwebs on the shelves and calling it spooky.
