UPPER WEST SIDE—The Westside Independent reports much retail movement uptown, including two new salons. But the big news from left of the park is the story of the Juilliard Bookstore, which is leaving behind its trailer for a shiny new spot inside the Alice Tully Hall building. The new store is set to open May 10, and already the Independent sounds a little nostalgic about the old space: "With the opening of the new bookstore a couple of doors down, the old trailer that used to house the Juilliard bookstore has closed down. Though ugly, it was weirdly iconic, which is like a lot of things in our neighborhood." [WI]
