The ongoing saga of the Crocs flagship in Soho finally has an end date: Curbed reports than the construction job, three years in the making, will wrap up by the middle of this week. They took a tour of the new structure and found all sorts of thrilling details: Exposed brick! A big staircase! A glass-fronted mezzanine for shopping for plastic shoes in full view of all Soho! Also: "Now nary a whiff of BBQ, served here for many years, can be found."
We mock, but we'll admit to being intrigued by the history of the place. Did you know that the hand-hewn wooden beams on the east wall were made from ships back in Ye Olden Days? If only those brave seagoing vessels had known what the future would hold.
