Try, if you can, to remember the name of the GreenShows EcoLux boutique. (Maybe write it down?) Come September, it'll describe a pop-up shop launching on Fashion's Night Out and bringing hip organic clothes and accessories to the greater Soho region for a full month. And right now, it's a flash store appearing in Grand Central as part of the terminal's Earth Day festivities.
Commuters traveling through Grand Central's Vanderbilt Hall will find over eighteen designers, including Samantha Pleet, plus cosmetics and fragrances. They'll also be able to buy açai shakes, since in accordance with NYC law it's not technically an eco-friendly pop-up unless there are açai berries involved somehow. And, should they venture over to Bloomingdale's, they'll see the works of GreenShow designer Gary Harvey in the windows. Harvey's dresses, made of recycled materials, will be at Bloomie's through the end of the month; the Grand Central pop-up, however, will only last through April 24.
