We saw a woman wearing legwarmers and flip-flops this morning. She was like one of those polar bears stranded on a melting ice floe, betrayed by the very air around her, forced into an untenable position by weather patterns completely beyond her control. It's 90 degrees in New York, and it's not even mid-April. On Jezebel, Jessica Coen gives voice to everyone's bewilderment with a rant titled "How The Hell Am I Supposed To Dress In This Weather?" (One reader recommends the "Rachel Comey"—a dress with a light cardigan.)
Meanwhile, on WCBS, meteorologist John Elliott tried to help. Gothamist quotes him saying "I want to make sure you have the right clothes, the right shoes, light colored." But is it OK if the shoes have open toes? Should we really be dressing like it's summer, or do we have to keep the sandals under wraps until June? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
