MEATPACKING DISTRICT—Anthropologies: They grow up so fast these days! Last Monday, when we took a look at the Anthro developing at the Chelsea Market, a reader commented, "You would be surprised as to how quickly an Anthro store can transform into its 'unimagined' beauty. I worked for 'Anthrax' (what we affectionately called it), for a few months, and the store transformed from rustic wooden floors into a faux flea market in a short amount of time." No kidding. Today, another tipster reports a sign on the front window and more activity within. "This thing is a whale," she writes. "Seriously massive." [Racked Inbox]
DUMBO—The P.S. Bookshop relocation isn't the only change in Dumbo's retailscape. Local blog DumboNYC reports that a new womenswear and accessories boutique just opened at 14 Jay Street. It's called Privileged, which is probably meant to evoke Gossip Girls in all their splendor but mostly just brings to mind the canceled post-Gossip Girl drama of the same name on the CW. [DumboNYC]
