Entertaining the audience isn't the number one goal of most runway shows: The point is to present the clothing in motion, and any spectacle usually just comes as icing on the cake. But Naomi Campbell's Fashion for Relief show last night was really an evening of theater for the guests, who paid either $100 or $150 for entrance to the event. Proceeds went to help the relief efforts in Haiti, and guests got a good—and ultimately moving—show.
Highlights: Celebrity models like Kelly Osborne, Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Alan Cumming, and Marc Jacobs' fiance Lorenzo Martone walked the runway. Agyness Deyn fell down not once, but twice. Chris Brown, clearly still trying to rehab his image, made an appearance. And at the end, a phalanx of supermodels walked the runway in Alexander McQueen, turning the show into a tribute to the designer as well as a benefit for a worthy cause.
