We loved Bergdorf Goodman's Alice in Wonderland-themed holiday windows, but we pass these windows every day and were definitely getting ready for a change. And, boy, did they ever change it. These modern, relatively pared-down displays couldn't be much more different from the floofy holiday confections if it tried. Instead of creating worlds with intricate sets, in this series Bergdorf says it with lights.
We love the use of neon, especially in the first window, where a gold sequined Givenchy mini dress is framed in yellow neon and triumphant popping letters. These are even funny. We love the one with clouds labeled "Sky" and a platform labeled "Ground" and a little parenthetical saying "(mannequins)." Even the clothes are pared down. Last month we had Monique Lhuillier and Alexander McQueen This month we're treated to Alaïa and Derek Lam. What do you guys think? Love the neon, or leave it?
