Szeki—the diminutive home to Szeki Chan's eponymous jewelry line; her mother's 7115 collection of womenswear, shoes and accessories; and one-of-a-kind stock-quality factory samples imported from Asia—is moving. Word is their current space at 16 Clinton is just too small and the shop will be moving to 157 Rivington in mid-February.
Szeki opened a mere 18 months ago but the tiny space with the impossibly claustrophobic dressing room just wasn't ample enough for the beautiful (and surprisingly inexpensive) apparel or the shop's cast of regular customers who come in weekly checking for what new items have shown up from Far East suppliers. In addition to more breathing room the new location will benefit from more dedicated space for the jewelry collections. Plus, the store should see increased foot traffic from new neighbors Narnia, ALIFE, Rivington Club, Honey in the Rough, and favorite brunch spot for drunk-shopping aficionados Bondi Road.
