We've all heard that if Barbie were person-sized she'd be 6 feet tall, 100 pounds and have a 19-inch waist, but according to new evidence she would also go on jewelry heists with Christian Louboutin. We knew Louboutin's wasn't going to just be putting his name on the box for his Barbie collab when he had Mattel re-shape her feet and trim down her ankles, but he's taken it even farther than we thought—and completely made up for the whole "Barbie has fat ankles" kerfluffle earlier this week—by making a completely awesome and insane photo book chronicling his adventures with Barbie.
Our favorite photo has Louboutin and Barbie on the roof of a museum during a jewel heist. Louboutin also goes shopping in Paris with Barbie, is kept waiting by Barbie, interferes in Barbie's photoshoots, and catches Barbie at a cafe with another guy. Check out the rest of the images in Women's Wear Daily. We had no idea Louboutin was so wacky and cool, and we want someone to make an app so we can paste him into our own photos.
The photo diary will come with Jewel Thief Barbie, the first of three dolls designed by Louboutin, when she goes on sale in December for $150, or it can be purchased separately for $40. The other dolls are a safari-themed Barbie and a Barbie who is going to Cannes Film Festival. Each of the three dolls comes with four pairs of Barbie-sized Louboutins.
