Whatever your feelings on the 1975 cult documentary Grey Gardens, which follows two maybe-crazy (okay, batshit) but delightful women—Little Edie and her mother, Big Edie—in their slowly decaying East Hampton estate, one fact is indisputable: these broads knew how to rock some statement looks. And now, thanks to a complete restoration of the film by the Criterion Collection, you can see every romper, caftan, and head scarf in even higher definition.
Starting March 6th, Grey Gardens will be re-released at select theaters, Gothamist reports, including a six-day run at Film Forum. A fair warning to those who've never seen the film: Maybe don't bring a first date.
