The always-impressive Jumelle sample sale returns this morning, but we got a first look at the deals at last night's preview. In terms of multi-brand sales, the markdowns here are hard to beat—expect to find names like Creatures of Comfort, A.P.C. and Maryam Nassir Zadeh at more than half off their original prices. In short, the deals plus the store's convenient proximity to the Bedford L stop make this a sale too good to skip over President's Day weekend.
Jumelle is teeny, though the environment is oddly calm—there are big, private dressing rooms with their own mirrors and a separate area for jewelry, ceramics, shoes, and a bin full of under-$50 accessories like knit hats and scarves.
Notable among the racks are tons of chunky sweaters from brands like Study NY, Creatures of Comfort and Apiece Apart in the $100 to $200 range, dresses by Veronique Leroy, Ilana Kohn, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, and Samantha Pleet, trousers by Peter Jensen, on-point overalls by Mih jeans, flowy tops by Raquel Allegra and Electric Feathers, and a pile stacked with Rag & Bone jeans for $105 each.
Over at the shoe wall, there are minimalist midi heels, oxfords, and booties by Dieppa Restreppo and Repetto for $100 to $300. Nearby, a shelf full of ceramics by neighborhood artists Small Spells, Jennie Jieun Lee, Clam Lab, and No by Romy Northover is pricey (think $75 to $100 per piece) but worth the splurge if you're looking to seriously class up your kitchen. Elsewhere, there are pillows and other decor by Hopewell and Fredericks & Mae.
Bonus: The store will be restocked at the end of each day, meaning that even if you go on Monday (should you be among the lucky folk who have President's Day off), there'll likely still be plenty to find. For a better idea of prices and selection, scroll through the gallery below.
