Sonia Rykiel is back in the New York scene with a new shop-in-shop at the Bloomingdale's flagship. "We replicated the same concept" as the Paris store, explained Lola Rykiel, granddaughter of Sonia and the brand's PR director, of the boutique's design during a press preview. The space is outfitted in black and wood-paneled walls, gray carpeting, and one very fuzzy black chair.
Expect to find pre-fall pieces stocked in the boutique right now, which Rykiel described as "sophisticated, but chic and easy" at the same time. The brand exited Madison Avenue shop three years ago, and Bottega Veneta has since taken its place.
