Haven't bought your winter coat yet? Turns out, you're not alone—the 100+ line outside of the Mackage and Soia & Kyo sample sale was causing such a traffic jam in Chelsea Market that staff opened the doors 45 minutes early this morning.
Though the prices are still rather expensive (most coats are in the $300 to $400 range, up to 50% off their original prices), the quality of the coats is impeccable, from leather jackets to puffers, wool coats, and trenches for both men and women. And though it'd be easy to say that's the highlight of the sale, it wasn't—it was watching people debate whether the pronunciation of Mackage is MACK-age or ma-CAAAGE (it's the latter).
Much like the concurrent Diesel sample sale, everyone was going for the Mackage leather jackets on the right wall, which ranged from $280 to $460 (note that the best styles are on the more expensive end).
In the middle, you'll find a huge range of Mackage puffer jackets with fur ($300 to $480) and without ($280 to $260), which staff tells us are probably the most popular items at the sale, though there's plenty to restock.
Towards the left, there are beautiful Mackage wool coats for women ($340 and up) and on the far left, the men's Mackage section, which includes leather, wool, and puffer coats. To get a sense of exact prices and styles—as well as how much you're saving from retail—refer to the gallery above.
The less expensive Soia & Kyo section is in the back, where you'll find puffer coats with fur ($225 to $275) and without ($145 to $180), and wool and leather coats for both men and women, the vast majority of which are under $300.
Though the sale basically just a sea of coats, there are other winter accessories as well, namely leather gloves ($40 to $70) and bags, of which there weren't a ton ($230 to $300).
Staff says that while there are no markdowns scheduled as of now, there will be plenty of restocking, particularly of Mackage coats. But if you're looking for a specific item, head there early—crowds at this sale were not messing around. See the Dealfeed below for more sale information.
