According to neighborhood blog My Upper West, when Barnes & Noble closes its Lincoln Center location this winter, a Century freaking 21 will be taking its place. There's some irony in this: The Barnes & Noble was sent to its doom by people who like hanging out there but never actually buy anything, whereas Century 21 is filled with hordes of shoppers who can barely tolerate the atmosphere but spend money there anyway.
